The Bin Tai - Ham, Cheese, Fried Egg, Mayo, & Potato Chips Sandwich

The Bin Tai - Ham, Cheese, Fried Egg, Mayo, & Potato Chips Sandwich
Junk food haters, cover your eyes. This post is gonna disgust you to oblivion.
Inspired by e_ting at desk's post, the nutella cookie peanut butter sandwich, last night I made this monstrosity that I named "the bin tai" (Cantonese for perverted).
It's fully loaded with all kinds of junk that I found in my kitchen.
The Bin Tai - Ham, Cheese, Fried Egg, Mayo, & Potato Chips Sandwich
It's like this:
- A slice of buttered bread
- Slather mayo
- Add a slice of ham
- Add fried egg (runny yolk ftw)
- Add potato chips (I used Lay's sour cream and onion)
- Add a slice of "cheese"
- Add more potato chips
- Dump in the oven until the "cheese" melted
- Squeeze a few dots (or dollops) of mayo
- Squeeze a few drops of ketchup or chilli sauce

If you're up for it, top it with another slice of bread.

Did I really eat this bin-tai-ness?
Yes I did.
And the most bin tai thing is, I really loved it.
Sobsssss.....please don't hate me.

Nissin Black Garlic Oil Tonkotsu Flavored Instant Noodles

I've heard so much about this instant noodle.
It's the talk of the town, at least on my Facebook newsfeed ^_*

It took us a while before we could buy some. That made me wanna try it even more. Clever marketing, eh?

Finally, I got to try it last weekend.
How was it? Was it all that? Did it make my earth move? Was it the instant noodles of all instant noodles?

Well, the black garlic oil is fragrant and the tonkotsu flavor's pretty intense (Hello, Mr. Sodium), but for me,  it's definitely not indispensable.

McDonald's Sweet Potato Pie

Mc Donald's Sweet Potato Pie - Hong Kong
I am a huge fan of sweet potatoes, despite the old Indonesian belief that sweet potatoes are just for the poor.

Anyway, I am not exactly a rich bitch yet ;) and can be considered rather poor :D
...and I am an easy victim of advertising.
So when I saw an ad for this sweet potato pie on TV, I rushed SC to buy it for me.
Yes, advertisers...
Target me, I'll most probably buy :D

How was it?
Mc Donald's Sweet Potato Pie - Hong Kong
It's the pie (or turnover?) crust that I love love LOVE...with creamy and sweet filling.
I wish that there's more sweet potato flavors (which will have to be chemically "enhanced" I guess)...and some hint of spices like cinnamon and nutmeg would be nice...although I am not sure if it would fit the Hong Kong market.

The verdict? Not bad!...at least it doesn't look like the green bean pie, which reminded me of green baby poo (opps, sorry for ruining your appetite, guys~)

My Weird Noodle Habit - Shin Ramyun, Egg, Cheese & Potato Chips

This is a weird instant noodles habit I picked up from my roommate when I was in Sydney.
My Weird Habit - Shin Ramyun with Chips
It's sooo damn good, I just have to spread the gospel ;)

Shin Ramyun instant noodles + Egg mixed into the soup + a slice of el-cheapo processed cheese + ...a small mountain of potato chips = instant junk meal of champions!

Hehehe...
My Weird Habit - Shin Ramyun with Chips
The egg made the soup thick and creamy (a good source of protein for poor international students), the melted cheese...well, melted cheesy goodness...there's no way it's
not yummy, and potato chips in the soup? Love the extra crunch, and love them even after they're soft and soaked in the Shin Ramyun's tasty soup. I used some leftover Lay's sour cream and onion potato chips - but you can use anything else that will complement the flavor of the instant noodle's soup base.

Unhealthy? Of course.

Weird? Definitely.

Yummy? Abso-freaking-lutely!

Don't knock it 'til you try it :D
But try not to get addicted :P
