Where To Go This Weekend? Island East Market, Hong Kong

Island East Market is such a sight for Hong Kong sore eyes. Here are some of the gorgeous things I've enjoyed there. I've bought a lottt of stuff, ate yummy food, enjoyed my friends' company, had a great time with my family, and I'm just so pissed off that I don't live anywhere near it. Grrrrrr.

Yummy things from Bread Elements.

I've bought the croissants too. I absolutely adore how they are savory enough for me.

Next stop, Gary of Joie de Vivre's burger.

I was too full but still wanted to try the laksa. The owners are kind enough to pack the laksa with one of the containers they had. I'm making a mental note to bring my own lunch box next time. I had the laksa at home for lunch ;)

I bought the valrhona chocolate caramel fig tart (HK$48). OMG. SO GOOD!
Island East Market Hong Kong
Can't wait to get my hands on them again.

Strawberry shortcake... next time, next time.

If you don't know where to go this Sunday. NOW YOU KNOW.

Baby M's Antics at Caffe Habitu

Rose Latte, Hot Chocolate & Aloe Vera Cake - Caffe Habitu
After an afternoon of window shopping, we went to Caffe Habitu for a bit of rest and a dose of my favorite rose latte.

Baby M lovessss Caffe Habitu's comfy chairs...

He climbed up...

SC ordered hot chocolate. A very un-summery choice huh?

And we tried their aloe vera cake.

Light, not too sweet, refreshing, with a bit of crunch and chocolate at the bottom. We love it!

Lunch at Lis, L'hotel Island South, Hong Kong & Baby M's Antics

Baby M's Antics
Look at that naughty face....

We brought baby M to lunch with a couple of friends to meet their lovely baby, and I was surprised to see such a stylish place in the middle of industrial buildings in Aberdeen.
Lunch at Lis

There were so many diners with their babies and kids there, and now I know why.

Look at those stylish high chairs!

They also provided plastic utensils for kids.

Baby M had a lot of fun wreaking a havoc on their comfy seats...

Climbing up the seats to play with his diaper bag...

Until he was finally safely seated on one of the high chair with a handful of baby biscuits.

Whew! Now papa and mama can hit the appetizer buffet.
Lunch at Lis

Baby M tried a bit of their corn soup, he liked it, but it's a tad too sweet for mama.
Mama loves the crispy and tasty bread though.
Lunch at Lis

It's a semi-buffet lunch, you get to pick and order the main course you like.
Lunch at Lis
The risotto has a nice bite, but it's a tad too creamy from the sauce. Too creamy for summer.

Lunch at Lis
The duck's juicy and tender, the sauce was delicious. I wish the skin's a bit crispier, but all in all, not bad.

What I love the most, was their dessert spread.
Lunch at Lis
Lovely croissant bread pudding and tiramisu.

Lunch at Lis
The blood orange jelly, raspberry chocolate mousse and deep fried taro were wonderful too. I like!

Lunch at Lis
There's a crepe station too! Yum!

As for baby M's antics...he went crazier after we fed him biscuits!
Baby M's Antics
Naturally, he wanted to sweep everything off the table...

...and without hesitation, he went on to "attack" his new cute friend with kisses.
Baby M's Antics
Oh, son! Please be gentle! You're scaring him! Aiya~!

The lunch costs HKD114 each for us. I wouldn't consider the food mind blowing, but I'd go back if we happen to be in the area, in need for a venue that's babies/kids friendly.
