Pieces of Home & Cute Props from Saigon

Feast your eyes, babies.
Here are some pieces of home, brought by my sis and mom.
J.Co's cute, adorable and colorful Jpops....almost too pretty to eat..

...and my favorites, Choco Loco.
Not really sweet donuts, covered and filled with semisweet chocolate.
Made for those who are mad about chocolate.

You know I've failed trying to recreate this deliciousness many many times.
Finally, I'll get to eat a proper one, done only by the pros.

Little balls of pleasure. Fatty pork, shrimps, deep fried to perfection, made to order by our childhood neighbor.

...and...go on, get jealous.
Super cute props from Cho Benh Thanh market, Saigon.

  6. yes, we're very jealous! we wish we could get some props from VN, in fact, all our photos are taken with the same 3-4 plates....we'll have to get more into props like those--too bad we can't just take a quick flight to Saigon :(

  7. I was in Ben Thanh market less than a month ago. More interested in gulping all those delicious Vietnamese dishes than shopping for souvenirs. The pictures are still buried within close to 4000 images I managed to snap during the entire trip. The fried pork balls look so scrumptious !

  10. I love those spoons. I collect pottery from my travels too. I actually bought two tea sets ($3) and three mini tea sets (50 cents) for the altar. They were so cheap I would have bought more, but no room. You have to visit Vietnam some day. Wait for me. I'll stop off in HK and visit you and we can both do VN. :)

  17. Wow..everything looks so wonderful! So much food, and so much pretty food :). Those donuts are so mouthwatering and so pretty. Why do donut chains in the US not do such a fantastic job of decorating?
