In an effort to steer away from my usual (super unhealthy) eggs-sausage-cheese low carb breakfast combo, I am trying something new today. I simply cut a green apple into cubes, tossed them with lemon and a bit of honey, added cheddar chunks and smoked salmon.
Yum. But I'm gonna need a bigger portion of this ^_^'
Hungry!
Do you have any healthy low carb breakfast ideas? Please share them with me. I desperately need more :)
yum that looks good....you could always use just eggwhites thats better than the whole egg on a salad of fresh spinach and just a bit of cheese.thats what i do. good luck!
ReplyDeleteThere are plenty of good ideas on http://www.eatingwell.com :)
ReplyDeleteEat more grain stuff for breakfast. Oatmeal is good. Grains help you feel fuller throughout the day.
looks really yummy!!
ReplyDeleteyoghurt with fresh berries, oatmeal, banana... that's all i can think of.
bigger portion of healthy is still healthier than small portions of unhealthy, kekeke
ReplyDeleteSmoked salmon. Cheddar. And apples. Now why haven't I thought of that?!?!?
ReplyDeleteThat is a fancy brekkie! Mine is just a chunk of cheddar and a hardboiled egg. Been doing this for years. Are u following the South Beach diet? It worked well for me and was easy to do. Have to be quite strict esp the first 2 weeks with absolutely no carbs. After that, u are allowed "good" carbs. Be careful of processed oatmeal; best to stick with "normal" large flake oats, or steelcut oats. Like in any diet, it is ok to go off the rails for a special treat..like a plate of fried noodles!
ReplyDeleteMy breakfast can be peanut butter on toast, cereals with milk or cooked oats. Are these all high carbs? Hee hee.
ReplyDeleteBut eggs are nutritious. Just avoid the sausage and cheese. Hahahah!
that looks yum!
ReplyDeletehow about egg white omelette with mushrooms and peppers.
otherwise, fruits, yogurt and bit of honey!
you are doing so well with the diet...

ReplyDeleteWhat I love for breakfast is a poached egg on top of a mount of boiled fresh spinach leaves with some sesame oil and soy sauce added to it... YUM YUM!
